# Domains, environments, and teams

> Add domains, manage environments, switch workspaces, and invite team members from the Brimble CLI.

These commands act on the workspace selected by [login, link, or `--team`](/cli/overview).

## Domains

```bash theme={null}
brimble domain list
brimble domain add app.example.com
brimble domain add api.example.com --project my-api
brimble domain add example.com --workspace
brimble domain status app.example.com
brimble domain remove app.example.com
```

`add` attaches the domain to the linked project, or to `--project`. `--workspace` adds it to the workspace without attaching it to a project. The name is lowercased, and a leading `https://` is stripped.

After adding a domain, point DNS at Brimble, then check progress:

```bash theme={null}
brimble domain status app.example.com
```

`remove` (aliases `rm`, `delete`) detaches the domain from its project, or deletes it from the workspace when it is not attached. It asks first. Pass `-y` in a script.

`list` shows each domain, the project it is on, whether DNS is active, and whether it is the primary domain.

Buying a domain, editing DNS records, and wildcard setup stay in the dashboard. See [Custom domains](/domains/custom-domains).

## Environments

An environment groups projects (production, staging, and so on). It is not the same thing as a project's variables. Variables are [`brimble env`](/cli/environment-variables).

```bash theme={null}
brimble environment list
brimble environment create staging
brimble environment create staging --inherit-from production
brimble environment default staging
brimble environment delete staging --move-to production
```

`create` can copy shared variables from another environment with `--inherit-from`.

`default` makes an environment the default for new projects.

`delete` (`rm`) requires `--move-to`. Projects in the deleted environment move there. The destination has to be a different environment. The command asks first. Pass `-y` to skip the question. In a script, `--move-to` is required.

`brimble project list --environment staging` lists projects in one environment.

## Teams

```bash theme={null}
brimble team list
brimble team switch acme
brimble team switch personal
brimble whoami
```

`switch` sets the default workspace for later commands. `personal` clears it and returns you to your personal workspace. A linked directory still uses the team stored in `.brimble/project.json`. `--team` and `BRIMBLE_TEAM_ID` override both for a single command.

```bash theme={null}
brimble team get acme
brimble team members
brimble team members acme
brimble team invite ada@example.com grace@example.com --role MEMBER
brimble team invite ada@example.com --to acme --role ADMINISTRATOR
brimble team remove ada@example.com
brimble team remove ada@example.com --from acme --yes
```

`--role` is `ADMINISTRATOR`, `MEMBER`, or `VIEWER`. The default is `MEMBER`.

`invite` sends to the current team unless you pass `--to`. `remove` uses the current team unless you pass `--from`. You can match a member by email, username, or ID. Removal asks for confirmation.

## Regions, plans, and frameworks

```bash theme={null}
brimble meta regions
brimble meta plans
brimble meta frameworks
```

`regions` lists datacenters, including which ones your plan can use. `frameworks` prints framework slugs, one per line. `plans` prints plan data. All three accept `-o json`.
