# Manage projects from the CLI

> List and inspect projects, change maintenance and previews, connect a repository, transfer a project, and delete one.

Project commands accept a project name or ID. When you omit it, the CLI uses the [linked directory](/cli/overview), or a picker in a terminal.

```bash theme={null}
brimble project list
brimble project get
brimble project get my-api
```

`get` is also available as `view` and `show`. `list` is also available as `ls`. The top-level command accepts `projects` and `p` as aliases.

## List

```bash theme={null}
brimble project list
brimble project list --type web-service --status FAILED
brimble project list --environment staging
brimble project list --watch
```

| Flag | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `--type` | `web-service`, `static`, `worker`, `mcp`, or `database` |
| `--status` | Latest deployment status, for example `ACTIVE` or `FAILED` |
| `-e, --environment` | Only projects in this environment (name or ID) |
| `--sort` | `updatedAt` (default) or `createdAt`, newest first |
| `--page`, `--limit` | Page through the list. `--limit` defaults to 50 |
| `-w, --watch` | Refresh the list. `--interval` defaults to `5s` |

`get` and `stats` accept `--watch` and `--interval` as well.

## Stats

```bash theme={null}
brimble project stats
brimble project stats my-api --watch
```

Prints CPU, memory, disk, network, request rate, error rate, and latency for the project. Worker projects also show execution counts. `-o json` prints the same numbers as JSON.

## Maintenance, password, previews

```bash theme={null}
brimble project maintenance on
brimble project password on --password 's3cret'
brimble project password off
brimble project previews on
```

The state is the last argument: `on` or `off` (`enable` / `disable` and `true` / `false` also work). Put the project name first when you pass one:

```bash theme={null}
brimble project maintenance my-api off
```

Turning password protection on in a terminal prompts for the password when `--password` is omitted. In a script, `--password` is required.

## Connect a Git repository

```bash theme={null}
brimble project connect-repo
brimble project connect-repo my-api --repo acme/api --branch main
brimble project disconnect-repo
```

`connect-repo` asks for the Git provider, account, repository, and branch, then connects that repo so pushes deploy the project. In a script, pass `--repo` (and `--git` for GitLab or Bitbucket). This is not `brimble link`. Link only records which project this directory refers to.

`disconnect-repo` removes the Git connection. Pushes stop deploying the project until you connect a repo again. It asks first. Pass `-y` to skip the question.

`brimble project link` and `brimble project unlink` still run, and print a notice to use `connect-repo` and `disconnect-repo`.

## Transfer

```bash theme={null}
brimble project transfer my-api --to acme
brimble project transfer --to acme --yes
```

Moves the project to another team. `--to` is a team ID, name, or slug. If this directory is linked to the project, link it again with the new team:

```bash theme={null}
brimble link my-api --team acme
```

## Delete

```bash theme={null}
brimble project delete my-api
brimble project delete my-api --yes --delete-volume
```

In a terminal you must type the project name. `--yes` skips that check and is required in a script. `--delete-volume` also deletes the attached persistent volume.

If the directory is still linked to the deleted project, the CLI tells you to run `brimble unlink`.
